Roger J. Woolger, Ph.D. is a British-born Jungian analyst, lecturer and author with degrees from Oxford and London Universities, and the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich. He is known internationally for his psychological investigations into past lives and his therapeutic work called Deep Memory Process (see his book Other Lives, Other Selves).

Roger is a lifelong student of the perennial philosophy and the Christian mystical tradition, he has been deeply influenced by the practice of Buddhist vipassana meditation. He.has taught and published articles on dreamwork, meditation, the Grail legend and the mysticism of Simone Weil. For many years he has led study tours to the South of France exploring the hidden teachings of the Black Madonnas, the Troubadours, the Cathars and the Holy Grail. He has also been an amateur Shakespeare actor and a teacher of English Literature. He is co-author of The Goddess Within (Ballantine, 1989, with Jennifer Barker), a guide to the new psychology of the feminine as minored in the myths and conflicts of the Greek goddesses. This has had popular success in the US, Brazil and Germany.

Uniquely qualified to make this tour exceptionally meaningful and pleasurable, Roger is a talented and entertaining speaker. He has been visiting the south of France for over 30 years, speaks French and Portuguese and will translate for us where necessary. He has been leading tours in this region for nearly two decades.
